Sony PlayStation finally gave its fans a proper look at the PS5 – after unveiling the console via YouTube livestream.
The Digital Showcase instantly became one of the most-watched live streaming events of all time.
Aside from giving gamers a look at the new DualSense controller in white, it also showed off the PS5’s polarizing design.
The black core of the console sites between two curvy white bits of plastic. Some liken the console to be futuristic, while others think it resembles a Wi-Fi router with two bits of paper stuck on either side.
Just like the Xbox Series X and the last PS4 device, the PS5 can be placed either vertically or horizontally. It also comes with a fancy stand that works either way you want it.
There are going to be two versions of the console; one with a 4K Blu-ray disc drive and a digital edition, for those happy to make do with digital downloads.

The non-disk version appears to be slightly thinner than a standard edition.
Sony also unveiled some of the accessories that will be available for the PlayStation 5, including DualSense charging, a new HD camera and the Pulse 3D wireless headset and a media remote.
Sony also unviled a bunch of launch titles, including a new Spider-Man game, Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, Resident Evil Village, Horizon Forbidden West, and a host of other original titles.
The PlayStation 5 will be released towards the end of 2020.
