Epic Games is giving away Grand Theft Auto V starting today, meaning anyone with a PC will be able to download the game for free, and keep it forever.
While the store has yet to make the announcement official – the mystery free game (which will be announced at 5pm UAE them) was announced in an official promoted tweet that went live, and then was quickly taken down.
According to the Epic Games Store Twitter account, the game will be free to download until May 21. After that, the game will return to its normal price point. However, if you do manage to download the game before that date – you get to keep it forever.
The best part is you’ll get a full copy of GTA V, no strings attached. It’s not a free trial, you won’t have to pay for additional items or anything like that, and the game will not expire.
All you need to do to get the game is have an Epic Games Store account, which costs nothing.

The Epic Games Store gives away free games every week, but this is surely its biggest giveaway yet. And considering that Grand Theft Auto V remains one of the best-selling PC games month-on-month, we reckon it’s going to be a big hit.
