Aims to be the biggest ‘virtual tour’ in history

Travis Scott will headline a new virtual concert in Fortnite later this week, dubbed ‘Astronomical’.

There are multiple ‘tour dates’ that will allow players across the world to participate. The concert will run from April 23 to April 25, where La Flame will host a “one of a kind musical journey”.

It’s expected the performance will see him premiere a previously unheard song. As per Fortnite usual, the event will also come with in-game accessories for free by completing challenges. There will also be an Astroworld-branded cyclone glider.

The virtual concert is being called ‘nothing you’ve ever seen is coming April 23-25’.

Doors to the event will open 30 minutes before (full schedule below), and fans have been told to get in early before it all kicks off.

Travis Scott will also be added as a skin to the game, as part of Fortnite’s Icon Series, while outfits, emotes and other cosmetic items are available today.

The tour kicks off in the US on Thursday, with shows in the Middle East the next day (Friday).

The last time Fortnite teamed up to put on a musical event was with Marshmellow. That concert was ‘attended’ by more than 10.7-million people, breaking all records for an online event.
