Fast and Furious Crossroads will hit current-generation consoles by May 2020 (in time for the next movie) and will star franchise stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and Tyrone Gibson.
The studio behind Project Cars is developing the game.
Announced for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows, the game will revolve around vehicular-based heists – much in the same way the films do. The game will be available the same month that the ninth F&F film hits cinemas in the US.
As well as previous stars such as Diesel and Rodriguez, the game has also recruited Sonequa Martin-Green from Star Trek: Discovery as well as Asia Kate Dillon from John Wick: Chapter 3.
Players can expect a typical Fast and Furious storyline – as per the trailer below – and a multiplayer mode that will be revealed over time.
Developer Slightly Mad Studios partnered up with Universal Studios for a six-year partnership to produce games around its bigger film franchises. The studio previously worked on the likes of Need for Speed Shift, as well as Project Cars.
