Diablo 4 isn’t the only game rumoured to be appearing at BlizzConn, Blizzard’s annual gaming shindig.
ESPN claims that Overwatch 2 will be introduced on November 1st. The new game will reportedly have a stronger focus on story and narrative elements, including a four-player experience set in Lucio’s home of Rio de Janiero.
Expect a majour new mode of play, called Push. Alongside a new map (Toronto) and *at least* one new hero.
There’s no mention when the new title will arrive – it’s just being teased – but development has said to be far enough along that you’ll be able to the game during the conference.
However, Blizzard’s biggest problem right now has little to do with launching new games. The company is still reeling from negative feedback from the way it handled Hong Kong protest supporters. And that fallout is going to hang down on BlizzCon this year, new Overwatch or not.
