Borderlands 3 drops on September 13, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Which means its high time for a proper cinematic reveal trailer.
The trailer sees Borderland’s usual motley crew of adventurers – along with several new faces – take on the bad guys in hopes of saving humanity. Borderlands has always had a great sense of humour, and the third iteration seems to be no different.
The bad guys in questions are two online streaming superstars who are attempting to destroy the galaxy. Four new heroes join the roster to help prevent the galactic destruction; joined by the original cast of the franchise.

But instead of the previous two games, this time the action isn’t purely based on the home world of Pandora. In an effort to stop ‘the twins’ players will travel to various different planets.
It should come as no surprise for a game that has made online streamers its baddies, that developers 2K Games have amassed its own small army of videogame streamers and influencers to help promote the game.
Recruits come in the form of YouTube and Twitch channel hosts in exclusive gameplay reveals, as well as fans circulating loyalty codes to fans and followers.
Borderlands began as a decently-received off-the-wall blend of action shooter and role-playing-game. But the game’s quick-wit and dry sense of humour quickly earned it a cult following, and today it’s one of 2K Games biggest franchises.
