While Jay-Z is known for cooking up rap tracks, his cousin, Jamar White is cooking up wings as he’s opened his first Buffalo Boss restaurant on Jumeirah Road in Dubai.
Speaking about the restaurant coming to Dubai, Jamar said:
“We believe that this is the perfect place to launch the Buffalo Boss concept outside of the US, with the vibrant food scene and diverse customer-base. The restaurant is a great opportunity for families and friends to get together for a fun, interactive and above all, delicious dining experience.”
Growing up in Brooklyn, New York, White quickly discovered that he had a passion for both wings and business. He considers himself to be a wing fanatic and being cousins with Jay-Z is what gave him the idea to infuse hip hop culture into his Buffalo Boss restaurants.
Jay-Z is also an investor in his cousin Jamar’s business.

What’s on the menu?
First opening in Brooklyn, New York in 2010, the restaurant is a wing concept restaurant that aims to bring the urban feel of NYC to the UAE. The venue serves fresh organic chicken wings and its menu includes 12 house-made sauces, chicken tenders, butterfly shrimp, sweet potato fries and more.
One of their specialty dishes is Snow Wings which are southern fried wings finished with icing sugar.

As for desserts, there’s even Fried Oreos which are powdered with icing sugar and your choice of either chocolate or caramel sauce to satisfy those sweet tooth cravings.

A diverse selection of specialty sauces are available at Buffalo Boss. Some sauces are sweet and savoury, while others are for those who like it hot and spicy.
The heat levels range from a little to total destruction.

Rappers and restaurants
With the Drake-backed Dave’s Hot Chicken and now the Jay-Z-backed Buffalo Boss in Dubai, we’ll have to wait and see what the next rapper-backed restaurant comes to the region will be.
With the the addition of their Dubai location, Buffalo Boss has officially expanded outside of the U.S. and we’ll have to wait and see if it pops up anywhere else in the Middle East.
