We’ve all heard that old, fear-mongering statement, “robots are going to take all our jobs”. While that hasn’t quite happened yet and hopefully won’t for a while to come, you can get a glipse of the future at Cavalli Club in Dubai who have hired the city’s first robot bartender.
The Italian-designed robotic bartender, Makr Shakr, uses its two robotic arms, and in a metter of seconds the drinks are shaken, stirred, and served.
The Makr Shakr robotic bar system has been exclusively designed in Italy for the Dubai club and has been launched as part of Cavalli Club’s 10th anniversary celebrations.
So how does it all work? Patrons will need to pay for their drinks at the bar where they will receive a voucher, input the drink they want through the available iPads, confirm the ticket number, and wait for the robot to create it.
Pretty neat, right?
