The coronavirus lockdown continues to rock the restaurant trade.
While select venues are starting to open their doors that hasn’t stopped many of the city’s best restaurants from starting new delivery services.
Avli by Tashas, is one such restaurant.
Avli by Tashas: The Concept
Avli by Tashas – which made to Esquire’s 50 Best Restaurants list earlier this year – is nown for serving Greek-inspired Mediterranean food out of its DIFC location.
The new delivery comes in the form of two set menus, including a variety of restaurant favourites; such as tomato tepanade, pita break, Greek salad and fruit covered in yogurt and honey.
But it is the mains here that are the real stars of the delivery. Both were created to be shared. One features a slow-cooked lamb shank, with orzo and salty Greek cheese, while the other is a vegetarian-friendly spaghetti dish with courgette, aubergine, peppers and Greek yogurt.

Avli has been clever going down the set menu route, as it allows the kitchen to highlight some of their signatures dishes – but ones that will hold up to the rigours of travelling from DIFC to your doorstep.
The restaurant was already known as being one of the finest restaurants in the city, and by starting up a new delivery service – has become one of the finest door-to-door Greeg deliveries, too.
