Business lunch at the stylish Emirates Towers offers incredible value for money

Dubai is a busy city – a phrase that anyone who has done work in the Emirates knows to be true. The constant weekday whir of meetings, events, deals and discussions are so constant, that they often take precedence over having lunch. With that in mind, many of the city’s high-end restaurants have looked to attract the eyes of the busy work crowd, with some rather appealing deals of their own.

The Rib Room has been a mainstay of the iconic Emirates Towers’ offerings, and because the steak restaurant’s books are often full in the evening, its new Business Lunch menu has made it as appealing as it is affordable.

Although, the idea of a Business Lunch menu is not new, it is remarkable just how many restaurants lose sight of the principles of what one should entail: an affordable and well-presented meal that is condusive for colleagues or clients to bond and talk about work outside of the confinds of an office. Importantly, it should take no longer than a hour between sitting down and walking out full, but not stuffed. Failing this, it is just a lunch. There’s nothing business about it.

With its location across the road from the busy DIFC, World Trade Centre and International Convention Centre, getting the formula right for the Rib Room means a potential boom of lunchtime guests, and, that’s what they have achieved.

Since its expensive refurbishment last year, the restaurant has a very clear personality. It is elegant, grown-up, masculine and its booth seating give diners ample privacy. But more importantly, it can get you and your clients in and out the door in an hour. The menu offers a choice of three options: a single course (20 minutes), two courses (40 minute) or three-course (60 minute) options. The set price (Dhs60/120/150) depends on the number of course you opt for. This way diners can not only factor in the time they have available, but also how hungry they are, and amount they want to spend.

As its name implies, this lunch is best-suited to carnivores – with the main options including steak and ribs options – but also several lighter dishes including a watermelon wedge salad or roasted beet and burata salad. The desserts, on the other hand, are just pure gluttony, to celebrate a job well-done.
