Dubai is getting its latest high-end movie theatre experience from one of its most beloved Michelin-starred chefs.
Akira Back at THEATRE is launching in Dubai on September 26, followed by Abu Dhabi on October 10.
The Michelin-starred chef is back in the UAE to celebrate the highly-anticipated culinary collaboration, his first to unite dining and film.
Visitors will be able to enjoy a menu curated by the world-renowned chef, featuring a combination of Akira Back’s signature dishes as well as culinary creations exclusive to VOX Cinemas.
Back has a large portfolio of critically acclaimed restaurants and lounges in destinations like Beverly Hills, San Diego, Seychelles North Island, Toronto, Singapore, Seoul, Dubai and more.
The modern Japanese menu comprises appetisers, starters, signature rolls, cinema classics, mains, desserts and signature mocktails.
Menu highlights include the Akira Back Pizza, Kimchi Fried Rice and Angry Chicken, the AB Kiss dessert, and Kajitsu, one of the mocktails.
VOX Cinemas also launched THEATRE Café, a full-service dining concept in the foyer of VOX Cinemas at Mall of the Emirates last week.
Akira Back at THEATRE launches on 26 September at VOX Cinemas in Dubai including Mall of the Emirates, Nakheel Mall and City Centre Mirdif and on 10 October at VOX Cinemas in Abu Dhabi including Yas Mall, The Galleria Al Maryah Island, Al Jimi Mall and Nation Towers. Later this year, it will be rolled-out across Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait.
