There’s a brand new sandwich shop in Dubai‘s Jumeirah Lakes Towers. As its name suggests, Dip Nation serves a variety of sandwiches – all with their very own dipping gravy accompaniment. It’s operated by Kitchen Nation – a ‘Culinary Incubator’ that helps would-be chef/entrepreneur types create their businesses.
According to our friends at Time Out Dubai:
The BBQ Pulled Beef stars slow-cooked beef shank smothered in barbecue sauce, topped with sauerkraut and melted cheddar cheese; the Beef Dip features roast beef and melted cheese, served with a beef au jus dip; and the Jerk Chicken Dip comes packed with, you guessed it, roast jerk chicken and melted cheese, served with a chicken au jus dip.
The current gut-buster sandwich is the Cheese Overload, which is a mixture of house-blended cheeses like cheddar, mozzarella, Edam and Havarti, toasted between two slices of bed. It’s served alongside homemade tomato sauce for dipping purposes.
The guys behind the concept are the same team as Fraîche in JLT, who also run the vegan Hippy Deli. Dip Street is now open in Cluster Y.
