While most of us will have technically eaten “dinner in the sky” on board an Emirates/Etihad/Qatar Airlines flight (delete as appropiate), the experience is more matter-of-fact that something you’d rush to brag to your friends about. Well, the new “Dinner in the Sky” concept from the Habtoor Grand Resort in Dubai is very much in the latter catagory.
As part of the hotel’s Autograph Collection, the hotel is offering thrill-seeking foodies the chance to have dinner from a table suspended from a crane at 50 metres above ground. Starting from December 15, guests can book either lunch, brunch or dinner daily – or can book the space for private events including wedding receptions, cocktail parties or private dining experiences.
While relatively new to Dubai, the Dining in the Sky concept has been hugely successful (and safe) in cities including London, Paris and New York.
