Service will be available across three hotels across Dubai

The UAE’s JA Resorts & Hotels has said it will be testing guests for COVID-19 onsite starting next month.

It’s a good idea, too. Not only does it add to peace-of-mind for new guests, but also simplifies the process of leaving the hotel. Many countries across the word (and indeed, nearly every airline including Emirates and Etihad) require passengers to have had a recent COVID-19 test.

This allows gusts to pre-book the service, wherein a medical professional will come to their room to conduct the test, with results coming via email and text message within 24-hours.

The tests will be available across JA The Resort (which includes JA Palm Tree Court and JA Beach Hotel), JA Ocean View Hotel and The Manor by JA.

The hotel company partnered with GMC clinics which will be handling the testing process onsite.

The tests currently cost AED250 (but we’d expect that to come down as prices continue to drop across the country for COVID-19 tests), and will be offered to guests of upon check-in or on check-out.

“Offering convenient and cost effective tests to guests at our hotels and resorts means that they can simply get on with their holiday and enjoy their downtime without worrying about which clinic to go to and whether they will have enough time to get it all done before their flight,” says Anthony Ross, CEO of JA Resorts & Hotels.

In case you missed it, Dubai’s QE2 floating hotel is set to re-open its doors later this week. You can once again check in to Dubai’s floating hotel and live like royalty on October 1st.

The QE2 just received a stamp of approval from from Dubai Tourism, the Department of Economic Development and the Dubai Municipality. That means it is now free to resume taking on guests and the general public. Check out the full story here.
