Emirates has added Oman to its growing list of resumed destinations.
The airline will restart flights to Muscat this Friday, October 2nd. Emirates plans on two flights per week, leaving on Sundays and Fridays.
The one-hour flight will leave Dubai at 2:15 AM in the morning, getting travelers into Muscat before 4 AM. The return leg will leave at 4:40 AM and landing just before 6 AM. Flights start from AED860 (or US$235).
Of course, travelers will have to comply with all the necessary covid-19 checks for both Emirates and Oman entry.
Arriving passengers must have their temperatures checked and be tested by for covid-19 on arrival. Once in Muscat, passengers must again quarantine for 14 days before being allowed outside proper. Oman has said that some travelers may be requested to pay for tracking bracelets, to wear during their quarantine period.
Emirates is now flying to more than 94 destinations in total.
The Dubai Airline just announced that it will begin flying to Uganda’s capital of Entebbe on Thursday, October 1. That brings the total number of African destinations up to 20. Last week it also said it would resume flights to South Africa, Zimbabwe and Mauritius.
Emirates has also rolled out special covid-19 flexible tickets. And travelers booking flights before the end of September will be able to move depart dates or destinations with no additional charges.
