Fuelled by it’s superlative chasing ambition, Dubai is gearing up for another exceptional year in hospitality with the spotlight focused on an array of grand hotel unveilings set in 2024.

Ciel Tower, Dubai

Slated to open in Q1 2024, the Ciel Tower will become Dubai’s new tallest hotel. It is expected to offer over 1,000 guestrooms and suites, an observatory and lounge on the 81st floor, an infinity pool, and a distinctive 300-metre atrium with landscaped terraces spanning all 82 stories. On completion, Ciel will surpass the Gevora Hotel — which is currently the tallest hotel in Dubai.
One&Only One Za’abeel, Dubai

This unique vertical urban resort will feature the world’s longest cantilever, The Link. This architectural marvel will house over 10 world-class restaurants from the likes of Anne-Sophie Pic, Paco Morales and Dabiz Muñoz.
The property will feature 229 rooms and suites, with special offerings like the Sanctuary collection for in-room treatments and a luxurious 775-square-metre penthouse. The property is part of the One Za’abeel development.
The Lana, Dorchester Collection, Dubai

Scheduled to open on February 1, 2024, this hotel, from The Dorchester Collection, will add 225 keys to the area. The striking 30-storey tower has been designed by Foster + Partners, the same firm behind The House of Wisdom in Sharjah. Looking to tap into Dubai’s resurging ‘ultra-luxury’ segment, the hotel will grant guests access to the Beach Club at One at Palm Jumeirah (also from The Dorchester Collection) via a boat ride. Interiors, meanwhile, are from Parisian duo Giles & Boissier. The design is contemporary, inspired by the city setting, with details such as stone parquet flooring, triple-height ceilings, and screen dividers to create an ambience that is welcoming and discreet. Dark marble, rounded furniture, and soft hues of gold, beige, and olive are seen throughout the living spaces.
Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab, Dubai

Opening in phases throughout 2024, this superyacht-inspired hotel will offer 387 rooms and suites, all with sea views. It will also feature 82 residences, an 82-berth superyacht marina, a private beach, five pools, 10 restaurants, nine bars, and a large spa set over three floors. Jumeirah said this would be its “statement property” and mark “a new epoch” for the group. The restaurants will be social-led, said Jumeirah, promising a portfolio of international chefs.
FIVE LUXE, Dubai

Set to open in early 2024, FIVE LUXE will be will be located along the beach in JBR, featuring 222 rooms and suites and 275 residences, as well as multiple F&B venues. There’s a 14,000 sq ft private beach with a Beach Club, an Social Pool, ReFIVE Spa, an indoor pool and an outdoor gym spanning 7,000 sq ft, as well as a paddle tennis court and a kids club.
The sustainable property uses smart systems, sustainable materials and resource conservation, including incorporating recycled cement and steel in its foundation, to promote circular economy and decarbonisation. Energy efficiency measures including thermal and electric solar panels, as well as water-saving and recycling systems, which form cornerstone elements of the Platinum-rated green building.
