Air Arabia Abu Dhabi sets to take its first trips this month

The new low-cost airline Air Arabia Abu Dhabi has announced that it is all set to start flights from the UAE capital from July 14.

Focusing on regional destinations, the carrier has so far announced flights to Alexandria and Sohag in Egypt, with more to be announced in the coming weeks.

The inaugural flight will depart Abu Dhabi for Alexandria’s Borg Al Arab International Airport, with regular flights to the destination taking place three times a week.

“In these extraordinary times, it gives us great pride to launch Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, the capital’s first low-cost carrier,” said Tony Douglas, Group CEO, Etihad Aviation Group.

“This joint venture between Etihad and Air Arabia will offer greater convenience and direct access to the UAE’s thriving capital for new markets worldwide, beginning with two key Egyptian routes, and expanding in time.

Flights tickets are now on sale on the Air Arabia Abu Dhabi website for the first flights.
