Madonna has unveiled Confessions II – The Film, a star-studded cinematic companion to her forthcoming album Confessions II, which premieres on July 3.
Debuting at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, the 14-minute visual project blends music, fashion and fantasy into a single immersive experience. Directed by filmmaking duo TORSO — David Toro and Solomon Chase — the film follows the Queen of Pop through a surreal disco-fuelled dreamscape inspired by the mythology of her rise to fame in post-Warhol New York.

The project is powered by Dolce&Gabbana, which also curated the wardrobe for Madonna and the extended cast. Drawing from both archival and contemporary collections, the Italian fashion house created a visual language that connects Madonna’s iconography with its own signature aesthetic.
The collaboration marks another chapter in the long-standing relationship between Madonna and Dolce&Gabbana, a partnership that stretches back to the early 1990s and has been defined by a shared appetite for reinvention, spectacle and unapologetic self-expression.
Along the way, a cast of familiar faces appears. Among the standout cameos are Benedict Cumberbatch, football star Cole Palmer, supermodel Kate Moss, actor Richard E. Grant, actress Julia Garner, singer Sabrina Carpenter and Brazilian footballer João Pedro. Also making appearances are Gwendoline Christie and Odessa A’zion.

Built around the first six tracks from the upcoming album, Confessions II – The Film blurs the line between reality and imagination. Madonna is pursued by a group of masked, camera-wielding figures, a nod to the paparazzi culture that has followed her throughout her career, while the narrative moves through themes of fame, identity and self-expression.
