Justin Bieber has hit out at trolls for saying he looks like “shit”, revealing in an Instagram post that he has recently been diagnosed with Lyme disease.
The singer, who married Hailey Baldwin in 2018, shared news of his diagnosis yesterday (January 8), telling fans that as well as living with Lyme disease, he had been suffering with “a serious case” of chronic mononucleosis, or glandular fever.
Dismissing claims of drug use, Justin explained that changes in his “skin, energy, and overall health” were down to the “so far incurable” Lyme disease, a bacterial infection that can be spread to humans by infected ticks.
Promising fans that he will be “back and better than ever” with the right treatment, Bieber also revealed that his ongoing health troubles will be followed in an upcoming documentary series for YouTube.
Justin Bieber: Seasons, which will premiere at the end of January, is set to give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making of his new album, as well as exclusive footage of his wedding last year and the daily life of the Biebers.
