Kanye West dons silver body paint at Miami Opera

Kanye West has been spotted head-to-toe in silver body paint and a bizarre baggy silver outfit.

The rapper is in Miami to open his new opera, Mary. He was also seen with several other performers; all decked out similarly in silver.

West was wearing a baggy silver one-piece dress-type-thing with silver paint covering his face, head and hound. He also wore matching silver socks and shoes, as he arrived at his event on the final day of Art Basel.

West took to Twitter on Thursday for the first time in quite a while to promote his opera, which was directed by Nicole Beecroft. It also includes songs from West’s Sunday Service choir.

Mary is West’s second opera, following his first Nebuchadnezzar – which earned him rave reviews by critics. West served as the narrator of that performance, and featured musical performances by Peter Collins and Infinity’s Song.

Last month it was revealed that Kanye West would be teaming up with televangelist Joel Osteen – part of a multi-city tour known as ‘Night of Hope’. The rapper will be holding the joint event at Yankee Stadium in May 2020, in front of an audience of 55,000.
