Abu Dhabi is continuing to show itself as an entertainment capitol as the ‘Ultra’ music festival will soon land here in the Emirates.
Abu Dhabi continues to prove itself as a prime location for all things entertainment, with the world famous F1 track, to hosting the recent boxing match which secured Khabib Nurmagomedov as a legend, to now acting as the Arab host for the ‘Ultra’ music fest.
Ultra Music Festival lives up to its name admirably. Founded in 1999, the fest is seen as one of the largest dance/electro events in the North American calendar. What began in Miami as a modest event has since snowballed into an international affair which draws in some of the industry’s top talent.
Since its inception, the event has made its way to 28 different countries across six continents, including Singapore, China, South Korea, Japan, Mexico, and of course America. This year at the Miami iteration fest-goers enjoyed performances from the likes of Marshmello, Deadmau5, The Chainsmokers, Carl Cox, Skrillex, and David Guetta.
The festival has bagged numerous awards in acknowledgement of its popularity and impact to the dance festival scene. Over a 12 year period the event has garnered several different awards and a handful of nominations. These include Best International Dance Festival Special Award, World’s Best Festival from DJ Magazine and Best EDM/Dance Festival from Festicket Awards.
