Hans Zimmer’s legendary music is now coming to the big screen in the form of Hans Zimmer & Friends: Diamond in the Desert. The concert itself was brought to life by Zimmer’s band and a world-class orchestra at Dubai’s iconic Coca-Cola Arena and marks the first time the legendary composer has collaborated entirely with a destination.

The film will be released in select movie theatres across the world, with screenings beginning Wednesday, March 19, 2025, although Middle East screenings will be announced at a later date. Tickets are on sale now and can be found here.

Accompanying Zimmer on the screen in both music and conversation are: Christopher Nolan, Johnny Marr, Denis Villeneuve, Billie Eilish, Pharrell Williams, Timothée Chalamet…need I say more? Directed by Emmy-winning and multi-Grammy nominated Paul Dugdale, with Jerry Bruckheimer serving as executive producer, the film offers a rare glimpse into Zimmer’s creative process.

“The Hans Zimmer Live tour has been one of the most exciting experiences of my career, and I’m thrilled to bring it to an audience in cinemas globally with Diamond in the Desert,” said Hans Zimmer. “Seeing these compositions transform from their big screen origins to the live show and then back to the big screen is a delightful full circle moment. I hope audiences enjoy this peek behind the curtain as much as we enjoyed making it.”

When watching the clip above, it puts into perspective just how long and prolific Zimmer’s career has been. Dune, Inception, The Lion King, Interstellar, The Dark Knight, Pirates of the Caribbean, the list goes on and on.

This is an experience you won’t want to miss.
