Following on from last year’s peek-behind-the-drapes documentary series Harry & Meghan, Prince Harry is now all set to make his Netflix debut as an executive producer with a new documentary series entitled Heart of Invictus.

The series will follow six people competing in the 2022 Invictus Games – a multi disciplined sporting event for wounded, injured servicemen and women – in a multi-episode documentary to follow a group of international military competitors, all service members who have experienced life-changing injuries or illnesses, on their journey.

The first trailer for Heart of Invictus was released this week and marks a significant step in post-royal life of The Duke of Sussex.

As executive producer, the Heart of Invictus series is produced by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s company, Archewell Productions, in collaboration with The Invictus Games Foundation.

The highly anticipated trailer gives viewers a glimpse into the series, revealing the intense physical and emotional journey these servicemen and women undergo to prepare for the competition.

Prince Harry has long been associated with the Invictus Games, helping found it in 2014, having been inspired by the Warrior Games in the US. The series will provide an inside look into the competitor’s training and their personal stories, as well as follow the event’s organisers as they work to prepare for the Games.

In the trailer, Prince Harry shares, “The human spirit is the most powerful thing in the world, and I think what we see with these guys and girls… their resilience, their determination… that is what the Invictus Games is all about.”

The documentary marks the first project announced since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle signed a multi-year deal with Netflix to produce documentaries, docu-series, feature films, scripted television shows, and children’s programming.

The exact release date for the series has not been announced yet, but the excitement around the project is already building. Given Prince Harry’s personal commitment to and passion for the Invictus Games, viewers can expect an earnest and heartfelt depiction of the event and its competitors.
