Lionsgate – the producers behind hit action franchise John Wick – has confirmed that a fourth film has been approved. It will hit cinemas in May 2021.
The news came just after John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum knocked Avengers: Endgame from the top of the box office charts. It reportedly pulled in US$57 million in its opening weekend.
The film features keanu Reeves as a retired hitman who finds himself under fire from rival hitmen, thanks to a US$14 million bounty being placed on his capture “dead or alive”.
The news was first spread to the fans via people who signed up to Parabellum updates on their phones. They recieved a text message that read, “You have served. You will be of service. John Wick: Chapter 4 is coming – May 21, 2021″.
