Following from last week’s news that Jamie Foxx is coming back to play Electro in the next Spider-Man film, Benedict Cumberbatch has signed on to return as Doctor Strange in the movie.
Foxx played Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which featured a different Spider-Man actor to Tom Holland. It is thought that his return to the Spider-Man universe might have something to do with Marvel’s upcoming multiverse (hence Doctor Strange).
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Doctor Strange will take on the role of Iron Man for Holland’s young hero, and act as a mentor for Spider-Man. Tony Stark died in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.
It is unclear whether or not Foxx will be playing the same Electro as he did in the previous film, or an entirely new one.
In other news, Billie Eilish is about to host her first-ever solo livestream concert, ‘Where Do We Go? The Livestream’.
The show will go live on October 24, or her website. The Grammy award-winning singer will broadcast the ‘interactive’ concert from Los Angeles, and while a setlist is yet to be revealed it’s expected to include a great many of her previous hits along with a few new ones (perhaps?).
The concert announcement comes fresh off the back of the No Time To Die James Bond theme song, of which Eilish and her brother Finneas performed.
