The hotly-anticipated Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer is finally here, and it’s a doozy.

After debuting in the MCU in Loki earlier this summer, the multiverse has finally come to New York, with Peter Parker already facing the overwhelming implications.

Most excitingly, Alfred Molina returns in the trailer as Doctor Octopus, reprising his iconic role from Spider-Man 2, directed by Sam Raimi, to confront Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. It’s the first time Molina has played the role since the 2004 film.

“When we were shooting it, we were all under orders not to talk about it, because it was supposed to be some great big secret,” Molina to Variety earlier this year. “But, you know, it’s all over the internet. I actually described myself as the worst kept secret in Hollywood!”

There are still some poorly-kept secrets to come, with rumours that Andrew Garfield and Tobey McGuire will be returning in the film as their iterations of the web slinger.

the trailer picks up where Spider-Man: Far From Home left off, with Peter Parker revealed as Spider-Man to the world by Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio. In an attempt to make the world forget, Parker enlists the help of Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange, unleashing the multiverse in the process.

The film is set to release in the UAE on December 16, 2021.

In the mean time, let’s revisit the best scene in Spider-Man 2, a piece of pure horror from Evil Dead mastermind Sam Raimi.
