The film is set to hit UAE cinemas on November 10, 2022

‘The Marvels’ is coming, and it’s not just a sequel to Captain Marvel.

In fact, the film, one of the key pieces of Marvel’s Phase 4, will not just see Brie Larson returning as Carol Danvers, it promises to be much more.

Headed for UAE cinemas on November 10, 2022, it will also feature Monica Rambeau, last seen in Marvel’s breakout hit of 2020, WandaVision.

Rambeau debuted in the MCU as a young girl in the first Captain Marvel film, later taking a starring turn as an adult in 2020’s breakout series WandaVision, played by Teyonah Paris.

When we last saw the character, she had left behind the story of Wanda Maximoff and Vision and began interacting with Skrulls, the shapeshifting race of aliens that made their debut as well in Captain Marvel—a signal that her story was headed in a more cosmic direction next.

While so much of Rambeau’s story in WandaVision revolved around her trying to save Wanda from herself, the story also developed the character in notable ways, namely her having disappeared during the ‘blip’, when half of all life on earth disappeared due to Thanos’ actions in Avengers: Infinity War’, and not being able to say goodbye to her mother, who was the best friend of Carol Danvers, played by Larson.

Rambeau was clearly more powerful than she knew, something that the title to The Marvels clearly alludes to.

The movie will also serve as a sequel to something we have yet to see—Ms. Marvel, the upcoming Disney+ series that will debut in OSN in the region.

That series will feature Iman Vellani as young Pakistani superhero Ms. Marvel Kamala Khan.

Marvel also debuted the first look at the series in its celebration video released today, along with announcing the title and release date of The Marvels.

Marvel also announced a new title for Black Panther 2, as well as a release date.
