Because in space, no one can hear your tire squeal

The Fast and Furious franchise is going to space in its ninth film (how have they made nine of these…).

Of course the coronavirus pandemic has affected the production and release date of many films this year. Only yesterday, it was revealed that Wonder Woman 1984 is having its release pushed more than two months.

It also affected Vin Diesel’s muscle-car franchise, which had to push its ninth film to an April 2021 release date. That made fans unhappy, but perhaps they will be a little more ready to wait after F&F star Michelle Rodriguez actually told the world that the team will be heading to space in the next film.

When asked about a previous leak from Ludacris (who is also part of the F&F team) from a few months back. She replied to the innocent question, “Oh, no way. How did you guys find that out? See what happens? People start talking behind the scenes, man. When a movie doesn’t come out and forget about it, things get out. Nobody was supposed to know that!”

Previously, Ludacris may or may not have revealed that to ensure the ninth film in the franchise is as good as the previous eight, that they would be taking the team to new heights (i.e. space).

Here’s the Ludacris rumour that Rodriguez was commenting on:

It seems we can look forward to cars in space, when the next iteration of F&F hits cinemas next year.
