The most famous galactic bounty hunter of them all – Boba Fett – will be making an appearance in the Disney+ The Mandalorian.
The casting news came out this week, when Disney revealed that Temuera Morrison will play the notorious bounty hunter in season 2.
The actor played Boba Fett’s father – Jango Fett – in Star Wars: Episode II and Episode III. During the film, the character reveals he asked asked for a cloned version of himself to raise as his son. That explains why the same actor fits both roles.
This won’t be the first time Morrison has taken the role of Baba Fett, however. He re-recorded the character’s dialogue for the original Star Wars trilogy, as well as in the Star Wars: Battlefront games.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Boba Fett will have a small role in the Mandalorian. The first season dropped a few hints about where the intergalactic bounty hunter may be hiding – most memorably when a mysterious figure with clanking spurs appears on the screen.

The Mandalorian is also set to unveil another fan-favourite character, in the form of Ahsoka Tano from The Clone Wars animated series. Rumour has it the character will be played by Rosario Dawson.
