There’s not a lot one can surmise from the two minute long trailer of Christopher Nolan’s new movie Tenet. Is it a biological attack or a nuclear one? What exactly are they trying to defeat? Those are just some of the questions left unanswered by the trailer.
The trailer sees John David Washington’s character pass a test that allows him to ‘die’ and then be reborn where he is welcomed “to the afterlife”. His mission involves stopping World War III, but not a “nuclear holocaust”, apparently it’s something worse.
The director of the Dark Knight trilogy, Inception and Interstellar also has some apparent mind-bending involved in the movie as well.
It hits theatres in July 2020 so we’ll be kept in suspense until then.
The movie also starts Elizabeth Debicki, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy and Dimple Kapadia, alongside Nolan regulars Michael Caine and Sir Kenneth Branagh.
