He’s Matthew McConaughey! He says “all right, all right, all right” and puts your soul at ease. He is, according to Snoop Dogg, “the greatest rapper in the world”. But after seeing McConaughey’s latest outfit—photographed while he was leaving the BBC2 radio studios in London this week—I’m convinced it’d be more than just swirling colors and spitting bars. There’d also be a sense of gravitas, coupled with a deep and abiding respect for peak coziness. I mean, just look at what he’s wearing.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I am fully aware of the fact that McConaughey is a talented and celebrated actor, capable of plumbing the depths of human emotion and reflecting deep inner truths back to an audience. But I didn’t know he was also capable of speaking directly to my style id, the part of me that, when winter arrives, just wants to wrap up in something extremely cozy (and stylish) as I make my way through the cold world. Clearly, he is. That shearling jacket is proof.
And then he’s wearing a turtleneck, too? Come on, man. It’s so good. It’s warm and fuzzy but also luxurious, with a little bit of ’70s swagger thrown in for good measure (the sunglasses don’t hurt his cause). The guy, and his fit, are clearly all right. (Sorry.)
