Nicolas Cage will be playing one of the most challenging roles of recent years in new film, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent the actor Nicolas Cage.
Yes, the actor will be playing himself in the new film, which will be a meta-drama about Hollywood fame directed by Tom Gormican.
According to Gormican, Lionsgate is in the final phase of negotiations to distribute the film. And once signed off, Cage will be set to act like himself.
The plot centres around Cage, desperate for a part in a new Quentin Tarantino film. At the same time, the actor has to manage a difficult relationship with his teenage daughter and mounting debt.
Requiring extra cash, Cage’s character (who is Nicolas Cage) takes an appearance job at a Mexican billionaire’s home, where they become fast friends. However, the CIA soon informs cage that the billionaire is a drug lord. Calamity surely ensues.
No date has been set for the new film, however, given that it has yet to begin shooting we’d estimate a 2021 release.
