Director Colin Trevorrow is bringing back the original cast of Jurassic Park to Jurassic World 3. Laura Dern, Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum are set to reprise their iconic roles in the new film.
Trevorrow revealed the news at a screening of Jurassic World in Hollywood last night. Not only will the three characters return, but they’ll have sizable roles in the new film.
Goldblum made an appearance in the last film, Jurassic World 2, while the last time Dern went dinosaur hunting was in a brief cameo for Jurassic Park 3.
Since then, however, Dern’s popularity has soared after roles in HBO smash Big Little Lies.
Plot details are few and far between, but at the end of the last film, dinosaurs had been unleashed on the world by a small close girl who felt sorry for the animals.
Trevorrow recently released a short film called Battle at Big Rock, which picks up one year after Jurassic World 2 and shows the dinosaurs living in our world and fighting for survival.
The film is expected to hit cinemas on June 11, 2021.
