All the old favourites are coming back

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie is finally coming to the big screen. And another fan favourite has confirmed he’s on board.

The finale of Breaking Bad was hailed as one of the greatest ends to a show in recent history. Naturally however, when you make a TV show that wins 110 separate awards, people always want more.

El Camino is Vince Gilligan’s answer to the hordes of hungry fans, turns out he’s not just satisfying our hunger with Jesse Pinkman others are back too.

Director Gillian recently spilled ‘SOME’ beans with The Hollywood Reporter on the film, it reports that 10 characters from the Breaking Bad universe are making a return. We already know that Skinny Pete and Badger are back, but who else?

Jonathan Banks, who played Mike Ehrmantraut in both the original show and Better Call Saul, has said he’s going to feature in the new movie.

Banks smirked upon whispering the news when interviewed at the Emmys. Banks said:

“Yes, they’ll hit me in the head for saying this, but yes. Why not? None of those guys hit very hard anyway.”

If you’ve seen Breaking Bad all the way through, you may remember that in one of Walt’s more enraged moments, he went full Heisenberg and murdered Mike. If Banks is telling the truth, it must point towards him making a cameo in a flashback, or if you’re thinking really ambitiously, featuring as a hallucination of Jesse’s.

The official description of the film from Netflix reads:

“In the wake of his dramatic escape from captivity, Jesse must come to terms with his past in order to forge some kind of future.”

If Mike is coming back somehow despite being dead, who’s to say another wrinkly bald old man won’t return from beyond the grave?
