Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio are both huge stars with a combined 75-years in the movie business. So why has it taken them so long to appear in the same film?
Quentin Tarantino’s new flick, Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, will be the first occasion the two actors have starred opposite each other. The film – which premiered last night in Los Angeles – saw Pitt open up as to why it has taken so long for them to star in the same film.
Speaking to channel Extra, Pitt joked, ‘Yeah, I had a restraining order against [DiCaprio] for a while… over an incident in 1994 that we don’t like to talk about.”

In 1994, Pitt was engaged to nineties heartthrob Gwyneth Paltrow. She has since admitted that she broke his heart and was the one responsible for the break-up of their engagement in 1997.
Shortly afterwards, rumours surfaced that Paltrow might be linked to DiCaprio, as the pair were seen hanging out together around Hollywood.

Obviously, the A-listers have buried the hatchet since.
Speaking to Esquire, Pitt and DiCaprio said Tarantino’s script – and legendary filmmaking presence – where what drew them to the project. This will be Tarantino’s ninth film (and the director says he will resign after his tenth).
Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood also stars Margot Robbie, Dakota Fanning, Kurt Russell, Al Pacino, Like Perry, Lena Dunham, Timothy Olyphant, Margaret Qualley and Rumer Willis.
According to reports, DiCaprio took a $5-million pay cut (from his usual $20-million per film standard rate) to star in Tarantino’s film. However, don’t feel bad; DiCaprio still stands to earn millions via back-end profits.
