Marvel has been on a roll lately.
Just within the last year, we’ve seen the hilarious Thor: Ragnarok, the groundbreaking Black Panther (which is gunning for Oscars), the massive Avengers: Infinity War, and the fun palette cleanser Ant-Man. All stunning successes for Marvel.
Now, the next entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe looks like another win, with the nostalgia-fuelled trailer for Captain Marvel.
It begins with Brie Larson’s hero crash landing in a ’90s Blockbuster (funny!) and teaming up with a young Nick Fury (young Samuel L. Jackson) to stop an invasion of shape-shifting aliens. This battle involves Captain Marvel punching an old woman (probably a shape-shifter, right?) and trying to sort through her own mysterious past.
The movie is due out on 8 March.
