Ever wondered how much money you earn from being one of the biggest stars in Game Of Thrones? No, well, maybe you should. And while you’re at it maybe you should consider a career change.
With their loyalty to House Cashmoney unwavering, the HBO show’s five biggest stars: Peter Dinklage (Tyrion), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys), Lena Headey (Queen Cersei) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) have banded together to secure a pay rise that will earn them $1.1 million (Dhs4 million) per episode for the next two seasons.
In all, that amounts to Dhs28 million per actor, per series, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The last time a group of actors held out for such an astronomical sum was 2002, when the cast of Friends negotiated a deal worth $1 million per episode.
According to TV statistics Game of Thrones was the 7th most watched TV show in America this year, after Big Bang Theory, NFL Thursday Night Football, Empire, NFL Sunday Night Football and The Walking Dead.
Still, at least we can all rest assured in the knowledge that GoT’s biggest stars can always pay their debts.
