Deadpool will go to any lengths for a good joke—and that now includes getting Celine Dion to record a new original song for the Deadpool 2 soundtrack.
That’s right: Celine Dion herself recorded the song “Ashes” for a superhero movie, and the new track is actually pretty awesome. We’re talking Titanic-level good.
As she sings in the song, which has nothing to do with Deadpool:
Let beauty come out of ashes
Let beauty come out of ashes
And when I pray all I ask is
Can beauty come out of ashes?
Simply beautiful.
Along with the song, Dion appears in a new music video alongside Deadpool doing an interpretive dance. The best part, though, is that this soundtrack also includes an original track from Diplo, French Montana, and Lil Pump—meaning you can pick up the Deadpool 2 soundtrack and hear both Diplo and Celine Dion.
It’s the kind of match that only Deadpool could make.
