Mozart Gala
If you’re partial to an evening of classical music, but don’t really know too much about it, then you can’t really go wrong with this tribute to the classical music superstar himself, performed by Vienna’s own “Concert Verein”. You’ll probably recognise more pieces than you realise.
Best for: Classical fan boys

Impossible
If you’d rather watch Die Hard over The Piano, then we’re guessing Impossible would be more your speed. Six of the world’s greatest magicians bring their big stage illusions to the boards in what will be some seriously jaw-dropping magic… er, illusions.
Best for: Action heroes

José Carreras
The famed Catalan tenor (yes, one of ‘The Three Tenors’) arrives at the Dubai Opera house for his final world tour. The event will serve as a farewell to one of opera’s greats.
Best for: Fans of saying “you weren’t there, man”

Hussain Al Jassmi
Sure, Arabic singing and opera may not have a long history, but today’s generation is all about breaking down those barriers. Embrace the Khaleeji spirit as the YouTube sensation (Winner of Murex D’or Award for best Arabic male singer) Hussain Al Jassmi, makes a bit of history by becoming the first Arabic singer to perform at the Dubai Opera.
Best for: Arabic music fans

Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons
The glaring irony is that Dubai only has two seasons (insanely hot and pleasantly warm), but, frankly, Vivaldi doesn’t give a hoot. Through his masterful works, you can experience the wonders of Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter via mood and tempo alone.
Best for: Classy gents

West Side Story
Like Marmite, you either love or hate musicals. If you’re of the former persuasion then you’ll be tickled pink that one of Broadway’s most successful shows is makes its way to Dubai early next year. If you’re of the latter persuasion, we’re pretty sure the missus won’t say ‘no’ to a quirky Valentine’s surprise.
