Rarely do we actually get to see a line of planets in the night sky at the same time, but that all changes this weekend when five of the planets in our solar system will be visible in the sky, and can be seen without using a telescope.
Before sunrise on July 19, the planets of Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn (and the crescent moon) will all be visible to the naked eye for 45 minutes, according to astronomers.
To spot all five planets together, you’ll need to wake up early to reach a stargazing spot about an hour before sunrise. Try to choose a location where the horizon is clear. Mercury is the most elusive planet to spot, as it appears close to the horizon and only briefly because of its close orbit to the sun.
