The prize which has previously been bestowed to the likes of Jacquemus, Hood by Air, Marine Serre and Marques’Almeida includes a $325,000 prize and 12-months of personalised support from the fashion conglomerate, with a view to aid the budding designers find both their feet and voice in the competitive industry.
At the helm of the Paris-based brand is 33-year-old Charaf Tajer. Emerging from an eclectic background of architecture-training and nightclub owning, the designer is a walking billboard for hazy-Moroccan-evening cool. With an aim to blur the lines between luxury sportswear and relaxed tailoring, the brands aesthetic boasts a certain je ne sais quoi as the style of fashion.
