Henry Cavill may be laying down his red cape, but he’ll be replacing it with a deerstalker hat.
The star is set to play Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s greatest detective in a series that follows a much younger Sherlock, Mycroft and their much younger sister, Enola.
Enola will be played by Stranger Things actress, Millie Bobby Brown.
The film will revolve around Enola Holmes, and is based on the Nancy Springer book series The Enola Holmes Mysteries.
Helena Bonham Carter is attached to the project, playing the Holmes’ children’s mother.
Killing Eve manager Harry Bradbeer will direct, along with His Dark materials writer Jack Thorne adapting the script. Production is set to start this summer.
Henry Cavill will next been seen in the new Netflix The Witcher series, which is based on the best-selling book and games.
