It wasn’t made by Tony Stark though

  • It’s safe to say that following 2008, when Iron Man hit cinemas, basically everyone wanted to ‘BE’ Iron Man

  • Adam Savage, former Mythbusters co-host is working on it, he’s now made a flying Iron Man suit that is also bulletproof

  • The creation is based off of Stark’s Mark II suit, the first true Iron Man suit the comic book inventor made

Adam Savage is loved by everyone for his wackiness, excitability for blowing stuff up, and now for his ability to make your becoming Iron Man a reality. Savage and his team on his eponymous show ‘Savage Builds’ have just recreated the iconic suit and it actually flies and repels bullets.

In his eight-episode series with the Discovery Channel, Savage works on creating various builds that you’ve always wondered could exist, such as vehicles from Mad Max and now the Iron Man suit.

Savage remade the iconic Mark II suit, the first flying suit Stark made, by 3D-printing the entire thing with titanium. Once he got the shell, he worked with Gravity Industries’ (sadly not Stark Industries) Richard Browning to add a jetpack and thrusters. Yep.

“I swear, if Tony f**king Stark was not fictional and he was making an Iron Man suit right now, this is precisely how he would do it and this is the exact technology he’d be using,” says Savage.

If this wasn’t cool enough, the suit is also bulletproof, as shown from this video:
