Men with beards are more attractive to women
It's official, men with beards have been deemed more attractive.
A study in the Journal of Evolutionary Biology asked 8,500 women to rate men with and without beards, highlighting which of the two had a higher boyfriend potential.
And sadly for the men without beards, the study reported that every single woman preferred the men with facial hair.
Want to argue with science? Well here's exactly what the research said:
"Male-typical facial features such as a pronounced brow ridge and a more robust jawline may signal underlying health, whereas beards may signal men’s age and masculine social dominance.
However, masculine faces are judged as more attractive for short-term relationships over less masculine faces, whereas beards are judged as more attractive than clean-shaven faces for long-term relationships."
Heavy stubble received the highest ratings for general attractiveness, followed by full beards and light stubble.
Have you got some beard envy? Don't worry, here's how to grow a beard (for people who can't grow a beard).
The Babel Alchemy Beard Ritual has also put together an easy three step routine to ensure flawless facial hair that takes less than 15 minutes.
Step 1: Smash your alarm and hit the showers to lather up that beard with the its deep-cleansing Mint Pistol Beard Shampoo. Add the aromatic Oud Resin Body Wash to get that fresh feeling all over.
Step 2: Towel off and add a few drops of Babel Alchemy’s Beard Oil to your palm, work through your facial hair and the skin beneath. The hydrating blend of oils smooths coarse beard hairs and banishes dryness, itching and flaking to keep your beard looking fresh.
Step 3: And if you’re feeling extra wild, add a dab of Sweet Tea Tree Beard Balm. A quick slick gives you complete control over those annoying resistant hairs, for a natural hold that won’t fade on you.
