The collection comes in four styles, costs a cool US$1,000

Fresh off the back of its latest Autumn/Winter collection, Louis Vuitton has pulled the wraps off a fancy pair of headphones.

The French label announced that it is teaming up with New York-based Master & Dynamic headphones, to launch a pair of wireless earbuds. This marks the first time Louis Vuitton has entered the audible technology fray.

The buds are an upgrade of Master & Dynamic’s already excellent MW07 True Wireless Earphones, meaning first-class materials and solid sound quality. Each bud boasts a PVD-coated stainless steel acoustic enclosure with 10-millimetre beryllium drivers (in technology speak, that means they sound excellent).

There are four styles in a trio of colours – cherry red, black and creamy white – and each mimics the iconic Louis Vuitton monogram print found on the brand’s signature leather goods. There’s also a black pair, featuring dual-tone stripes (in orange and blue).

Each pair comes with a carrying case (which purposefully apes the silhouette and concave lines of Louis Vuitton’s smartwatch, the Tambour Horizon). The case doubles as a charger, giving you an additional 10-hours battery life (the buds last 3.5-hours).

The Louis Vuitton wireless headphones will be available in boutiques around the world – including here in the UAE – on January 24.
