Stranger Things megastar Millie Bobby Brown has announced her engagement on Instagram to her long-time boyfriend Jake Bongiovi, with an outpouring of love instantly coming from across the world.

“I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all,” wrote Brown in her announcement post.

Let’s start with what the man calls himself. A self-professed ‘video game critic’, Bongiovi is calls himself an ‘Actor/Producer/all around cool guy’ to his 1.2 million Instagram followers.

If the name sounds familiar, that’s because he is in fact the son of “It’s My Life” rock icon Jon Bon Jovi, born to him and his wife Dorthea Hurley on May 7, 2002, making him nearly 21 years old. Millie Bobby Brown turned 19 in February, born in 2004.
He was born Jacob Hurley Bongiovi, with his mother’s surname serving as his own middle name.
He is the brother of Jesse, Stephanie, and Romeo, with the former two also working in the film world, his sister as a crew member for shows like Impractical Jokers.
While the actor hasn’t appeared in any films yet, he has two films in post-production: Rockbottom and Sweethearts.
In Rockbottom, he plays Justinalongside Tom Everett Scott, famed for the film That Thing You Do! and recently the Netflix hit 13 Reasons Why.
The film, directed by Todd Tucker, the famed make-up artist behind The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, “follows hair metal band CougarSnake of 1980s, whose career ended just as it was starting due to clashes over the direction of the group.”
It seems that the casting of the actor is a natural fit as it pulls from a history quite similar to his own father’s.
In Sweethearts, directed by Jordan Weiss (the creator of Dollface and a writer for the Harley Quinn animated series), Bongiovi plays Kellan.
The film’s official summary: “Two college freshmen pull a “Turkey Dump” and break up with their high school sweethearts over “Drunksgiving” – the one chaotic night before Thanksgiving in their hometown that puts their codependent friendship to the test.”
The film stars Kiernan Shipka, of Mad Men and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina fame.
According to his Insta, his main interests seems to be his love of travel, the comedy of Bill Hader (can’t blame him) and his girlfriend as he constantly posts he and Millie Bobby Brown together.
