The duality of man is truly a beautiful thing, the fan became one of the first memes of the World Cup after celebrating Saudi Arabia’s historic win over Messi and his Argentinian squad.
Well, we all know where Messi is right now, preparing to lace up for the World Cup finals. Everyone adapts to survive, and the “Where is Messi” guy is no different.
He’s been seen sporting the light blue and white, and revealed to a reporter that he’d promised his Argentinian friends that if the team made it to the finals he’d be rooting for them.
“Where is Messi? I am the Saudi guy who made this iconic in the world cup, but now I’m supporting Argentina,” he told a reporter.

He did have an explanation for his allegiance switch, however.
“I promised my friends from Argentina that if they reached the finals I would support you,” the Saudi fan continued.
In celebration he let out a impassioned “VAMOS ARGENTINA”, with a subtle rehash of his now famous catchphrase.
A emotional journey by all means, maybe this reformed fan was the final piece to the storybook ending Messi is so close to reaching.
Messi is set to face off against Mbappe and France this Sunday at 11:00 pm. Want to know where to watch it in Dubai? Here’s some options.
