Everyone’s favourite actor and two time Oscar winner Tom Hanks needs no introduction, but recently, his hands have looked a bit shaky.

On a relatively recent appearance on the Graham Norton show, sandwiched between Timothee Chalamet, Julia Roberts and Cher, in the midst of telling a story, Forrest Gump’s hands looked rather jittery.

This isn’t the first time concern over his tremoring hands have sparked worry across the internet.

In June of 2022, the New York Post posted a video of Hanks at an award show, and the public outrage of the speculation that follow, specifically, his holding of a microphone, which looked gripped by a very shaky hand.

Since 2013, Tom Hanks has been public about his diabetes diagnosis, a disease which can cause exactly that, but representatives were quick to reject any remarks claiming that the nearly 70 year old actor’s health was at risk.

Hanks did once admit to Radio Times that hew as a “total idiot” about taking care of his own health. “I’m part of the lazy American generation that has blindly kept dancing through the party and now finds ourselves with a malady. I thought I could avoid it by removing the buns from my cheeseburgers.”

Well, we certainly hope he’s okay. And perhaps everything is completely fine, and we’ve just been conditioned to think that it’s normal for a 75 year old to look like Sylvester Stallone or Arnold Schwarzenegger – juiced to the gills – whereas in reality, Tom Hanks looks totally normal for a dude for his age.

Anyway, here’s a young Tom dancing in 1988’s Big to get you excited for the week ahead.
