Snooze you lose: Average UAE wake-up time revealed

You might want to rethink your morning alarm settings: people in the UAE have an average wake-up time of 7:37 AM, a leisurely start compared to other countries around the world.

This revelation comes from the World Population Review, which recently mapped out the wake-up habits of 50 countries.

The UAE’s morning routine appears to be a bit more laid back, especially when contrasted with its neighbor, Qatar, where start their day nearly five minutes earlier at 7:32 AM.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia takes it even slower, with the majority rolling out of bed at a more relaxed 8:27 AM. Kuwait finds a middle ground, with its population typically rising at 8:01 AM.

This pattern suggests a trend across the Middle East, with residents generally greeting the day later than those in other parts of the world. For instance, early birds in South Africa and Colombia catch the worm at an impressive 6:24 AM and 6:31 AM, respectively, marking them as some of the earliest risers globally.

The United States finds itself somewhat in the middle, with an average wakeup call at 7:20 AM.

It’s good to know that by 9:00 AM, regardless of where you are in the world, the day is well underway for most.
