Two wheels, good. Two brands, better. That’s how the phrase goes, right? Well, if not, the unexpected collaboration between Italian bike manufacturer, Colnago and the Italian fashion label Tod’s, makes a strong case for it bringing their respective expertise to the fore, to produce the Tod’s T Bike.
The high-tech carbon fibre bicycle celebrates the active spirit, and energetic lifestyles with a particular focus on eco-mobility. Both Tod’s and Colnago share similar values, in addition to both having their roots in Italy, they also place a huge emphasis on tradition, craftsmanship and innovation.
The objective of the collaboration is to bring the qualities of the Italian lifestyle into a contemporary bicycle. Carrying with it the hefty reputations of the reputable bikemaker, the T Bike is targeted to a more contemporary and stylish generation, hence the warm wrapped colour tones of racing green and orange leather.
Limited to just 70 pieces, Tod’s and Colnago unveiled the T Bike at this year’s Salone del Mobile event in Milan along with a special edition release of two of Tod’s iconic products – the Tod’s Tabs sneaker, with its distinct pebble-detail on the heel, and the two-tone wind-breaker, made recognisable with the iconic embossed T-Lion leather pocket.
